At Leigh Golf Club we’re very lucky to have our own professional Andrew Baguley (Baggers to his friends), who’s been with us for 22 years. We’re lucky because Andrew is one of a select band of club professionals who’ve played in The PGA Cup for Team GB and Ireland against the USA on 2 occasions. The PGA Cup is the equivalent of The Ryder Cup for club professionals, and Andrew was part of the 10-man team that won the competition in 2005 in County Kildare, Ireland. Andrew is a former Captain of The Lancashire Professional Golfers’ Association is one of the most respected Pros in the North of England.
Andrews Thoughts On Golf Tuition
Andrew believes that golf’s unique because it allows players of all abilities to compete together and measure their own improvements in personal performance. With practice, dedication and some professional guidance these improvements can be significant.
Andrew also provides golf lessons on an individual or group basis. He feels it’s important that you take enjoyment in your game, and through proper tuition can develop to your full potential or simply work on improving individual aspects of your game.

Andrew manages our superbly stocked club shop where you can browse though a complete range of golf equipment, clothing and must-have accessories, all at very competitive prices.
Top brands on offer include Callaway, Ping, Taylor Made, Titleist, Odyssey, Foot joy, Greg Norman, Glenmuir, Pro-Quip, Calvin Green, Srixon and Powakaddy to name but a few. We’re sure that Andrew has everything you’ll need to perfectly complement your game.
He can repair broken shafts, change your grip or take care of any general repairs, often within a single day. Fitting is free of charge and you’ll find a large selection of grips and shafts in stock. Both Andrew and his team are always happy to discuss any aspect of golf equipment, or simply help you with the rules of the game.
